DIM (30 Capsules)

R246.58

DIM (diindolylmethane) is formed in the body when cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli are consumed. DIM is a key
nutrient that promotes detoxification and benefits oestrogen metabolism. In
essence, DIM reduces bad oestrogen and increases good oestrogen.
Sub-optimal oestrogen and testosterone homeostasis affects the metabolism and
thus weight management, muscle cells and libido. There is very strong evidence that
DIM protects the body against certain types of cancer such as breast, prostate,
ovarian, colon as well as PMS.
Few diets contain the significant amount of cruciferous vegetables needed to synthesize enough DIM to protect the body, but more importantly, certain gene mutations prevent the body from synthesizing DIM even if there are enough cruciferous vegetables in the diet. An oral DIM supplement is convenient for deriving active dosages of this compound in the presence of gene mutations or deficient dietary intake.
